James K. is a Charlotte native and is best known locally for his years at WBT radio as a morning host and production director. His Starving Artist credits include Faith Healer, Don’t Cry for Me, Margaret Mitchell, and Dracula Bites…and now 4 years with The Birth.
The Storefront Theatre is a readers theater performance venue working together to change our community through the delight of humorous, dramatic, emotional and impactful stories written and performed by local actors and playwrights.
He’s been on stage with Charlotte Repertory Theater, CPCC, Theatre Charlotte and other local and regional casts, most recently as Arthur in Spamalot. James K.’s full-time “gig” is voice acting. He is heard on radio and TV commercials locally, nationally and internationally. He spent 14 years as the PA Guy for the NBA Charlotte Hornets and WNBA Charlotte Sting. He is also a published author and an award-winning columnist with the Business Journal and the Charlotte Observer. He and his wife Donna, married 33 years, live in Charlotte. Storefront audiences will have the extra delight of seeing his solo performance in Blessed Assurance in January.
