Michael Ruff has been acting for stage and screen since he was a pre-teenager. He first made the acquaintance of Judy Simpson Cook during those pre-teen years in a production of The Diviners. He has appeared at Storefront in Catfish Moon, The Incredible Rescue of Fatty the Pig, God’s Man in Texas and Foxfire.
The Storefront Theatre is a readers theater performance venue working together to change our community through the delight of humorous, dramatic, emotional and impactful stories written and performed by local actors and playwrights.
He has also served as stage direction reader for 1963 at the Wadsworth Estate and the Levine Museum of the New South in Charlotte. He was a recurring character in Turn: Washington’s Spies on AMC. You may recognize him as the character Harold Hollister in the feature film, Lincoln. He lives in Charlotte with his two dogs, and stays involved with several local charities.
