Sharrin Edwards’ Biography

Sharrin Edwards has performed with Storefront many times and loves working with Judy. Originally from New York, she’s lived in Charlotte for 30 years and has recently moved to Rock Hill, SC. She has more than 40 years in the industry, and now enjoys retired life with her parents.

The Storefront Theatre is a readers theater performance venue working together to change our community through the delight of humorous, dramatic, emotional and impactful stories written and performed by local actors and playwrights. 

Her theatre credits include the national tour of Don’t Play Us Cheap with Melvin Van Peebles and the title role of Medea at Lincoln Center. She originated the role of Lou Walters in Judy Simpson Cook’s 1963 and looks forward to more challenging work from Judy’s pen. She’s worked on numerous films and soaps including As the World Turns for seven years. She was on air at WFAE andWDAV and worked with her husband on air at WHQR in Wilmington.
